Position Career Coach, Connector & Trainer
Background My work over the past two decades has been about helping people move forward in their careers or business, incorporating my skills as a coach, connector and trainer. I’ve had the privilege of working with students, adults in career transition, immigrants & refugees, and people with disabilities. Career/Job Search Coach: Moving through transitions can be challenging. However, when we embrace the idea that change is inevitable, and that change is often the key to personal and professional satisfaction, we feel more in control. Life becomes fresh, interesting and stimulating. If you’re feeling “stuck”, I can help you identify what’s keeping you from reaching your goals, clarify and simplify issues, and work with you on solutions. My approach is one of active listening, genuine interest in what motivates people to act or not, and a collaborative partnership geared toward positive change. Connector: Connecting to the right people and resources will help you move forward in your career, your business or in your personal life. I’m interested in your story, learning what you need, and how I can help. Networking and building relationships has been key to my success, and sharing my connections and resources is my passion! Trainer: • “Get Connected” Networking Workshop Learn to network! This workshop will show you how to increase your confidence, establish and maintain relationships, develop personally, learn about opportunities, stay on top of trends & community happenings, and connect with resources on a professional and personal level. • “Get Creative with your Job Search” – Looking for work can be daunting in any economy, and it’s always competitive. Being at the top of your game is essential. We will discuss self-assessment, goal setting, research/information gathering, marketing and presenting yourself (in person, on paper and on-line), managing your search, and staying positive! • “Cover Letters & Resumes That Get Results” – Writing an effective cover letter and creating an accomplishment driven resume is a critical piece of the job search process.
